Ways To Get Involved:

Board Member:
RAT Board Members are a fun and lively group coming from all walks of life.  They meet monthly and are the impetus in promoting the theatre arts in our area.  Board committees include: RAT Rentals, website, grants/funding, costumes, and others.  The board also decides which shows to produce each year.
Lighting/Sound:
The Performing Arts Center at the Redwood Valley High School has state of the art sound and lighting equipment.  If you have knowledge of this area or are interested in learning, please contact a RAT board member.
Set Painting:
Whether or not you have a creative or artistic flair, there is a job you can do in set painting.  Late June and all of July are the times you are needed most in this area.
Set Movers:
Both during the show and during the 2 weeks leading up to it, people are needed to move the sets on and off stage, run curtains, etc.  The stage manager choreographs this process, but it requires many hands to get the job done.
Ushers:
Six to ten ushers are needed each night of a performance.  No prior experience is necessary!
Set Construction:
If you have any talent in the area of construction you could be of assistance by helping create the fabulous sets for which we are known.  May, June, and July are the months during which the float sets are built.  Any level of help is appreciated.
Costumes:
Costuming always seems to generate our largest group of volunteers.  Seamstresses are always needed in June and July to assemble the production costumes.   Also, our costume room is always in need of organization! Contact Karen Boots if you are interested in helping out.
Stage Manager:
It is a major undertaking to coordinate the set movement during a play.  Kevin Passe has done a fantastic job of this in the past, but we're sure he would be more than willing to take on an apprentice in this area!
Pit Band:
Talented instrumentalists are needed for each and every production.  The pit band rehearses from late June through showtime.
Tickets:
At times we need assistance with selling tickets.  Sue Nelson has been our ticket/usher coordinator since RAT's inception.  Contact her if you would like to volunteer in this area.
